How Can a Single Parent Cope?

A single parent had lived most often through shame, guilt, and regret for the wrong things that he or she has done that brought forth an illegitimate child.
I know some friends that are single parent to their child/children. Most of the persons I knew are women struggling for quite sometime to be a mother and a father to their children. As the children grow , they are asking many questions about their father and demanding many things. The children also feel ashame whenever their playmates ask them about their dad. Children that grow without a father figure feel that something is missing in their life even to those who are living in well provided family of their mother. Some tend to become disturbed and rebellious. But there are children that grew well and already accepted the fact that they only have one parent to lean on or their parents are separated or divorced. These children are blessed to have forgiven their parents on what had happened between the two of them.
If you are a single parent, you will be able to raise your child up with God's help and your parents. A very understanding friend beside you can also help you handling your problems. Don't ever put blame on your child or children. Instead, accept them as your greatest treasure. Nurture them with love and care.
